Newly hired sales representatives who may or may not have previous exposure to the medical industry.
I developed this course using Adobe Flash CS4 and ActionScript 3. Individual medical terms, definitions, images, animations, and audio are loaded using an external XML file, making it easier to update the content of this course without recompiling.
Newly hired sales representatives need to learn massive amounts of new vocabulary in order to understand hernia repair techniques and intelligently converse with surgeons.
Users are encouraged to use take this course at the beginning of their training, but also to use it as review and practice as they continue their training.

Users can study unfamiliar terms using the study section of this course.

In the Practice section of this course, users practice identifying terms and their definitions (or related images). When users miss a particular item once, it is added to the end of their queue. If they miss it more than once, it appears again in the queue, but sooner.

After users identify all of the terms in a section, they receive feedback based on the number of items they missed.

If they select any of the missed items, they can review just those items they missed.
